“Ripples” (above) and other explorations (below)

The Mobile Community of Excellence team is a brand-new addition to DaVita. Its purpose is to deliver, certify and consult on all mobile applications throughout the organization. Naturally, as part of the team formation process, we wanted to distinguish ourselves with our own logo. I explored several concepts, from the more literal to the more abstract. Although it was not the final version voted on by the team, my favorite version of the logo was what I called “Ripples” – at DaVita, teammates are encouraged to “make ripples” or positive changes that have the potential of being felt throughout the company.
